Aesthetics Consultations at 60 and Beyond | Narellan

A conversation on your terms

If you are considering an aesthetics or skin consultation at 60 or beyond, start with what you want to understand. You do not need to aim for a younger appearance or follow advice based solely on your age.

Nuva Aesthetics offers RN-led consultations at Lexyor Beauty Centre in Narellan. This guide helps you prepare for individual assessment and discuss practical appointment needs. It does not set an age-based treatment plan or establish that a procedure is suitable.

Explain your own priorities

You might have a specific question about your skin, facial appearance or previous treatment, or simply want information before deciding whether to explore anything further. Describe the concern in your own words and explain what you would prefer not to change.

Ask what assessment is needed rather than assuming a new change is related to age. New, unexplained or concerning skin or facial changes may need medical assessment before cosmetic options are discussed.

Prepare a clear health and care history

Bring an up-to-date list of medicines, supplements and allergies, along with relevant medical history and details of ongoing care. Explain any previous reactions, healing concerns or recent changes in your health.

Ask whether another treating healthcare professional should be involved before considering an option. Do not stop or change prescribed medication to prepare for a cosmetic appointment without advice from the clinician responsible for it.

Previous procedures and missing records

If you have had aesthetic procedures over time, gather available records and approximate dates. Note areas treated and anything you would like reviewed. If you do not have product or procedure details, tell the clinic rather than guessing.

A consultation does not guarantee that earlier treatment can be identified, corrected or reversed. Our previous-treatment review guide helps organise a routine enquiry. Seek medical care for urgent concerns rather than waiting for a routine cosmetic review.

Ask for explanations in a format that works for you

If written information, larger print, additional explanation or another communication arrangement would help, ask the clinic what it can provide before booking. You can also ask whether a support person may attend and how that would be arranged.

These are arrangements to confirm with the clinic, not a claim that every format or accommodation is available. Take time to ask questions and check your understanding before making any decision.

Confirm access and arrival arrangements

Tell the clinic about any access requirements relevant to your visit and ask for specific information about the entrance, facilities and appointment arrangements. On-site parking is available, but this page does not confirm step-free access or accessible parking facilities.

If travel, assistance or caring commitments affect your plans, discuss these alongside any proposed follow-up arrangements.

Understand limitations before considering a plan

Ask what a proposed service could reasonably address, what it would not change and whether another type of assessment or referral would be more appropriate. This page does not promise lifting, tightening, reversal of ageing or restoration of a past appearance.

Clarify risks, possible complications, recovery, written aftercare and the full costs. If several visits are proposed, ask why, how progress would be reviewed and what would happen if you chose not to continue.

Questions to take with you

  • What assessment is needed for my concern?
  • How do my health history and previous care affect the discussion?
  • Should another healthcare professional be involved?
  • What are the alternatives, including no procedure?
  • What limitations, risks and recovery requirements should I understand?
  • What appointment support, access and follow-up arrangements can be confirmed?

Can this be a first aesthetics consultation?

You do not need previous experience to ask questions. The listed consultation with RN Catherine provides 30 minutes for discussion and assessment, with no treatment performed during the session. Contact the clinic to confirm the appropriate appointment for your enquiry.
