Not every appointment called a consultation includes treatment. If you are comparing booking options at Nuva Aesthetics, the most useful starting point is what you want from the visit: a discussion of options, an assessment focused on a particular service, or a review of previous treatment.
The short answer
Want to talk through your options without treatment? Explore the 30-minute consultation with RN Catherine.
Have questions about a particular service? Read that appointment's description and confirm what the session includes.
Want to discuss previous treatment? Ask the clinic whether a review appointment fits your circumstances.
Consultation only: time to understand your options
The consultation with RN Catherine is a 30-minute appointment to discuss your goals, assess suitability and explore treatment options. No treatment is performed during this session.
This gives you a clear distinction when booking: the purpose of this appointment is discussion, not treatment during the visit. You can explain your concerns without arriving with a procedure or quantity already chosen.
Treatment-focused appointments: read the details
A service-specific appointment focuses the discussion on a particular concern. Its title alone does not guarantee that treatment will happen.
Facial-lines consultation
The Anti-Wrinkle Consultation & Treatment appointment provides 45 minutes to discuss concerns about lines, suitability and options. Treatment may proceed during the same session if appropriate. That possibility is not a guarantee.
Lip consultation
The Lip Enhancement Consultation & Treatment listing describes a personalised 45-minute consultation focused on lip shape, balance and volume restoration. Confirm with the clinic what your visit will include rather than assuming it has the same arrangements as another service.
Skin needling appointment
Allow 45 minutes for a SkinPen® microneedling appointment. If you have not yet discussed whether the service is appropriate for your skin concerns, ask the clinic which booking option is the right starting point.
Appointment length is a scheduling detail, not a measure of which service is better for you. Different services require individual discussions about suitability, preparation, potential risks and aftercare.

Review appointments: a different starting point
The Touch-Up Consultation with RN Catherine provides 30 minutes to review previous treatments and discuss refinement. A review booking does not establish that further treatment is needed or included.
If your concerns relate to treatment performed elsewhere, contact the clinic to explain your circumstances and ask which appointment is suitable. Do not assume a review policy from the appointment name alone.
For review-specific booking questions and what to clarify during the discussion, read Understanding Treatment Review Appointments at Nuva Aesthetics.
Three things to clarify before booking
- Your purpose: Are you exploring new options, asking about one service or reviewing previous treatment?
- The session: What does the selected appointment include, and how long should you allow?
- Your questions: If you have several concerns, is this the appropriate session to discuss them?
Use our Questions to Bring to Your Aesthetic Consultation guide to organise your questions about goals, suitability, expectations and follow-up before your visit.
Before proceeding with any proposed treatment, ask about realistic expectations, limitations, potential risks, preparation, recovery, aftercare and follow-up. This article explains appointment choices; it does not recommend an individual treatment.
Common booking questions
Do I need to know exactly what treatment I want?
No treatment is performed during the consultation-only appointment. It provides a discussion of goals, suitability and options, so you can start with questions rather than a fixed treatment choice.
Does choosing a longer appointment mean treatment is guaranteed?
No. Duration does not confirm suitability or guarantee treatment. Read the specific service information and clarify arrangements with the clinic.
Can I cover several services in one session?
Tell the clinic what you want to discuss and ask which appointment fits. Do not assume multiple assessments or treatments can be completed together.
