Aesthetics Consultations in Your 20s | Narellan

Your 20s are not a deadline to start treatment

If you are an adult in your 20s exploring aesthetic or skin services, you can ask questions without choosing a procedure. A birthday, trend or someone else's routine does not establish that you need treatment.

Nuva Aesthetics offers RN-led consultations at Lexyor Beauty Centre in Narellan. This guide is for adults aged 20–29 preparing for a discussion about their own concerns. It does not recommend starting cosmetic procedures at a particular age.

Separate your own question from an online trend

Write down what you have noticed in your own words, without starting with a treatment name. Ask yourself whether the concern is something you notice in everyday life or mainly when comparing photographs, filters or other people's results.

You can bring a reference image to explain a question, but it cannot establish what is suitable or achievable for your features. Tell your clinician what you would prefer not to change as well as what you want to understand.

Ask what a “preventative” claim actually means

If you have seen advice that you must begin a procedure in your 20s to prevent future changes, ask for an explanation of the evidence, limitations, risks and alternatives relevant to you. Ask what would happen if you chose not to proceed.

This page does not recommend preventative injections or promise to delay ageing. Age alone is not an individual assessment, and there is no treatment deadline established by this guide.

Discuss skin concerns without diagnosing yourself

If your questions involve marks after breakouts, roughness, visible pores or irritation, explain the observations separately. Bring your current skincare and prescribed skin treatment details, including any reactions you have noticed.

Use our Skin Concerns hub to prepare questions, not to identify a diagnosis or choose a procedure. Ask whether your concern should be assessed by your GP or another healthcare professional before cosmetic options are discussed.

Do not choose a quantity or package first

A service name, advertised amount or another person's plan cannot establish what is appropriate for you. Ask what assessment is needed and what any proposed approach would not address. You can request information and decide not to proceed.

For questions about lip outline, fullness or facial lines, explore our Facial Concerns hub. These are conversation guides, not recommendations to change your features.

Understand the commitment beyond one visit

Before considering a procedure, ask about full costs, possible follow-up appointments, risks, recovery and written aftercare. Clarify what happens if you are unhappy or develop a concern. Do not assume a procedure can be reversed or that ongoing visits are included.

If study, work, sport or travel affects your availability, discuss those commitments before making a plan rather than relying on a promise of no downtime.

Questions for a first consultation

  • What assessment is needed for the concern I am describing?
  • Why is an option being proposed for me, rather than simply for my age?
  • What evidence and limitations apply to claims I have seen online?
  • What alternatives exist, including skincare review, referral or no procedure?
  • What are the risks, possible complications and recovery requirements?
  • What would the full costs and follow-up arrangements be?

You can book a discussion without treatment

The listed consultation with RN Catherine provides 30 minutes for discussion and assessment. No treatment is performed during that session. Contact the clinic to confirm whether it fits your enquiry.

Read our first-consultation guide and appointment-choice guide. Use the pre-consultation checklist to prepare relevant health information, medicines, supplements, allergies and previous procedure details.
